  • 1949

    My father, Domenic, began making pizza at his parent’s bar, Tommy’s Forest Hill Café when he was 11 years old, in 1949. My grandmother Angelina would make the dough at home, and he would cook the pizzas at the bar in a small home oven in the back. In 1956 he opened Angelina’s Pizza House in Akron. He expanded to Stow in 1971, and built Home Avenue Plaza in 1990 which has housed Angelina’s until 2022.

    A modern take on the classic recipes you know and love. Welcome Tommaso as the new Chief Pizza man in town! Starting at just 11 years old in 2009, at the Stow Location, Tommaso has been making pizzas ever since, along with fabulous salads and subs.
